While she's waiting for customers to show up, the woman in Liquor Store seems lost in her own private concerns. As a painter I'm interested in moments like this, it makes me wonder what she's thinking about. I also love that while there so much going on around her, there's also a powerful sense of stillness and peacefulness in this painting. The colors are mostly cool, but there's a lot of warmth in the painting as well.
