Earlier this year I got an email from Rüdiger Hoffmann. He and his wife Maria were asked by HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed, a nephew of the ruler of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to open an art centre in Ras Al-Khaimah, the capital of the emirate Ras Al-Khaimah. I don't have definite date just yet, but the gallery should open its doors by the end of this year.
I'm honored to be one of the selected artists for the inaugural exhibition. On view will be my painting Love and this portrait I made of Maria enjoying a portrait of Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol. Both paintings are already in the UAE. I cannot wait for the gallery to open!
